"Having lived in Australia for over a decade I have rarely seen pulses or lentils on Aussie plates.
This is not because lentils are not grown in Australia, but because the culinary culture here doesn’t include lentils as a main ingredient.
Born and raised in India I have grown up eating legumes/pulses/dhal/lentils in a variety of interesting ways in our diet. Living a busy lifestyle these days, as much as I miss our traditional recipes, they are a bit time consuming as pulses/lentils need soaking before cooking and preparing. Knowing the vast range of benefits of pulses, we wanted to reduce the time taken to cook them and come up with interesting recipes backed by our Indian food tradition and present them on Aussie platter.
We want to present pulses and lentils in their own taste, form and glory
Backed by my knowledge of nutrition and experience as a chef, I created our first range of lentil Nutri-mixes: LENcakes, LENbites & Yogi Bowl.
